Lockdown

1. I don't think the prison is necessary for kids, but i think it would be okay if it was for the most dangerous people in the world. I think that it would be like another Alcatraz. They should just send kids to a Juvenal facility. They can just take the most dangerous people from each country and just put them in the Furnace.
2. Most of my ideas would be the same as theres, but before I escaped I would start a riot in the prison to distract the guards. Then I would seek past everyone and escape.

3. Yes I would jump into the river because it was the only way out at the time and I wouldn't waste anymore time to find another way out. Plus, the way they got to the river brought a lot of attention to them so there only choice was to jump or get killed by the guards.

4. Yes i will continue reading the books because I want to know what happens after they escape.

Comments
I had the same idea as alex as well. I also said that i would start a riot to distract the guards.

I agree that it shouldn't be used for kids. I also said that it could be used for the most dangerous people in the world.

Book Choice

My first choice on the independent reading list is Lockdown. Out of all the the books to me this one looked the best. This book was the only one that looked like it might have some excitement in it. All of the other books didn't look as good. I think the book will be about a boy trying to escape the most secure prisons in the world. My second choice would have to be Bruiser. I have already read a couple books by this author so i hope that it will be a good book.

Good choice you had the same as me.

Alternate ending

For my alternate ending Tom Robinson still would have gone to prison but later he would escape and not get shot. Then they would later find out the he was innocent and Bob Ewell would go to prison. Then Tom would come come back to Maycomb and everything will be like a cheesy Disney movie.

Good ending but why do other people have to be shot.

The Great Depression

Black Tuesday started in October 29, 1929 it was the day the stock market crashed. It was also the day The Great Depression started. Once the stock market crashed people tried to sell their stocks, but nobody was buying them. The Stock Market Crash was just the beginning of the depression. Banks also started closing so this brought more panic to the country. People were making massive withdraws from the banks and this caused other banks to close. Businesses and industry were also affected. The lack of people buying things made some businesses to cut back on wages and fire employees. Farmers were also affected from the depression and this was called The Dust Bowl. Some farmers were hit harder than others. The ones that go it the worst had borrow money even though they were already in debt. Over time one thing led to another like Roosevelt and the New Deal. In the end President Roosevelt was the hero. The end of the Great Depression was when World War II started.

Sports

The sports that they had in the Elizabethan Era was similar to the ones today like archery, bowling, dice, hammer-throwing, and wrestling. They also had Bear and Bull baiting and Dog and Cock fights. Hunting was another thing that they did. They used dogs to help them hunt which is similar to today. They also had something call hawk.

The sports the had back then were weird. But good info on the sports.

Deception

Gilly suit is used as deception because the soldier is using his camo to make enemy's not see him. He can use different types of camo to deceive their enemy.

I choose Hitman because he changes his image after he kills someone to deceive other people.

I choose Bruce Wayne because he changes into batman and fights crime. While he is in the suit nobody knows who he is so he is using deception.

I choose a mask because masks can be used to deceive people.

I choose a voice modulator because it is used to change your voice and can be used for deception.

Good pictures I can clearly see that it is jealousy.

A Raisin in the Sun

The connection that the play A Raisin in the Sun had towards my family was my grandpa was in the Great Depression. Their family didn't have a lot of money just like other people in the Great Depression but my grandpa had other siblings that lived with him which made it harder on his dad to get the money to feed them and provide clothes and things of that sort. The most my grandpa got was an orange or a fruit of some sort for Christmas, in that time that was really had to get. So the connection that my grandpa with the play is he also had to endure some of the same things the Younger family did. Losing 1500 dollars when your dad was 18 must have been hard. I also think that your family did have a connection to the play.

If i achieved my dream i would have a house on the moon, it doesn't matter this is my american dream. My job is to study the what happens in space, so i have a house on the moon which makes sense because i am studying space. I also have everything i have ever wanted in my house. Then I start by walking my dog then explore the moon which doesn't really have anything on it but i do it anyway. Then i go visit Byron's base on the other side of the moon. Achieving this dream has made me happy because i have everything i have every wanted. I would also move all of my family and friends on the moon. I have also found a way to create an atmosphere so the moon can sustain life.

1.The definition of the American Dream in article 1 was it is all about wealth. In article 2 it was the opposite of article one it was about how the american dream is not all about wealth. 2.In article one the author used Adam's idea of the American dream to support his article. In article 2 the author said that you don't need wealth to have the American Dream. 3.The author in the second article seemed like he knew more about what he was talking about. 4.I agreed with the author of article 2 because he said the American Dream isn't all about wealth which what i agree with the most. 5.
